Maintenance

You have purchased yourself hand stained and painted pinewood furniture. Please follow our advice on handling and maintaining it:

* Do not place your furniture next to any types of heaters or cold and damp walls.
* Make sure that the room where the furniture is placed doesn't have big changes in air humidity and in temerature. Advisable humidity level is 5% to 40% and temperatre should not go below +10 degrees C.
* Keep the furniture away from direct sunlight.
* Clean your furniture with soft damp cloth. Use only non abrassive clensers suitable for wooden furniture.
* Furniture made from pinewood doesn't take heavy blows or scratches.
* Depending on structure of wood, small cracks in the furniture may appear that won't go under the warranty policy.
 
Good to know.

* In time pine wood darkens and burls go yellower.
* When you are furnishing your home with Poppy furniture in different phases small differences in wood stain and paint tones may occur.
* Differences in wood stain tones may occur due to structure of the wood.
* Due to fact that paintings on the furniture have been made by different artists, there may be little differences between the ones you have ordered and the ones available in the shop.
* Longer wooden details (semi long beds and bunkbeds) may curve a little in time which may make it a bit difficult to assamble the furniture.

Claiming your order

* When you have recieved the notice that your order has finalised we expect you to pay the second downpayment and your claim in Kika Ltd. storage area in Ehitajate tee 100a in Tallinn within 5 business days after the notice.
* When coming to claim your order please take your invoice and proof of second down payment. If you choose to make the second downpayment while claiming your order keep in mind that Kika Ltd. storage accepts cash payments only.
* If you fail to claim your order within 5 business days after the notice you will be charged the storage fee which is 1% of your whole invoice per calender day. Your order will not be given to you if you refuse to pay the storage fee.
* If you fail to claim your order within 30 calender days Kika Ltd. reserves the right to realise the order. 30 day storage fee will be deducted from the downpayment, Kika Ltd. will hold 15% from the whole invoice as handling cost. Rest of the downpayment will be return to you to the bank account you will give to Kika Ltd. after the order has been realised.

Warranty

Kika Ltd. gives a two-year warranty to its goods. Warranty starts the day after the order has been claimed by the client. Warranty applies when the furniture has been assambled using the instuctions, the furniture has been used according to its purpose and maintained as advised above.

To claim the rights from warranty, client must notify Kika Ltd within reasonable time (1 month), by submitting a formal complaint letter indicating the name of defected good and its defected detail(s) and the nature of the defect. Complaint letter must include proof of claim recieved from Kika Ltd. or other document proving the purchase of the good.
Warranty will not cover the natural amortisation of the good nor to the differences in wood texture and tones of colour.

Keep in mind that warranty will not apply when:
* Furniture has been renovated by the buyer or third person whithout a written concent from Kika Ltd.
* Furniture has been upgraded with details that do not belong to Kika Ltd. line of products.
* Furniture has been damaged by misuse of its purpouse, storage or transport.

During the warranty time Kika Ltd will repair or replace all the defected details or goods as soon as possible (latest by 60 days from recieving the formal complaint). Repaired and replaced goods will have the full two-year warranty. Warranty will not ignore nor restrict the buyer from seeking the legal protection given by other laws or contracts.
